Tessa R. Lucchi
Psy.D. Clinical Psychotherapist
If you have arrived at my page then you must be considering starting therapy. Whether this is your first experience, or you have been in therapy before, I am happy you are doing your research to find someone who can support you during this time in your life. Taking the first step to initiate change can be one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, experiences and finding a therapist who is a good fit for you is a great start.
On this site you will find more information about me and my areas of expertise. While I recognize that each person brings their own unique story to therapy, I find that there are some issues that I work with more than others. The connection between the therapist and client(s) is so important for a good working relationship. If you found yourself identifying with some of the experiences I wrote about, I encourage you to contact me contact me for a free 20 minute consultation to see if I can help.
Please note, I have daytime and evening hours available.
I earned my Masters of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Psychology Degrees (Psy.D.) from the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Program at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. I completed my predoctoral internship University of Illinois at Chicago's Counseling Center.
Throughout my training, I have provided individual, group, and couples therapy to adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including university counseling centers, behavioral health hospitals, and private practices. I also provided psychoeducational workshops on mindfulness and self-compassion. I am currently completing my postdoctoral fellowship in private practice with Stephanie Benedict, Psy.D. as I work to obtain Clinical Psychologist licensure in the state of Illinois.
If you are interested in scheduling a free 20 minute consultation, you may contact me here or via phone/email. I am currently accepting new clients and have daytime and evening hours available.
